Security tip

Do you know which of your systems can be reached from the internet?

Do you know which systems in your business accept connections from the internet?

An old remote desktop gateway, a test server, a printer with a public address, a VPN nobody uses any more: these stay reachable long after anyone needs them, and they're the first things an attacker looks for.

The external scan

An external security scan checks your network from outside the office and lists every system that responds. It takes minutes and it's the same view an attacker gets.

When to run it

After installing new systems, changing internet provider, replacing the firewall, adding remote access, or an office move. And periodically anyway, because things drift.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials Plus includes an external vulnerability scan, so if you're certified you've had one. If you're not, this is one of the quickest ways to find out where you stand.

Ask us to check which of your systems can be reached from the internet and whether any should be closed or restricted.
